9-11
Prompt: 9-11. Write a poem or something about 9-11.

I remember this day real well. Two months before this happened, I was looking around my new house, thinking life is good. All is quiet. We aren't at war. No mass murders. No hurricanes. All is right with the world. My job was now a mental health place. Things weren't bad. Boom! 9-11 happened.

I worked midnights. I got up to watch The Young and the Restless. There was a news report on. The news man said the game at Notre Dame was canceled. I live in Indiana, a hour away from South Bend. They mentioned an explosion. I thought what blew up in South Bend. They talked about the planes hitting the trade, twin towers in New York. I never thought about them before. Guess what? This was serious. I was in shock. WHAT IN THE H--- IS THE MATTER WITH THE WORLD? It changed things. I never had that good feeling again except when I got baptized and had night time communion. I try to find inner peace all the time and remember God's got this.

The war happened. Alan Jackson had a hit song about 9-11. I cried when I heard it today. I went to a Alice Cooper Concert and security was tight. The audience was yelling USA! USA! USA! I felt so much love for my country and wanted to beat up Bin Laden! I am an American! Alice Cooper came out wearing a shirt with a flag on it, carrying a flag and sang God Bless America! We have God.

Lee Greenwood's song: "God Bless The USA" is a great theme song for America. I am proud to be an American. A great song for all Americans! Thank you, Lee!

On this day, I remember. I prayed for everyone who died that day, the firemen, police, rescue dogs, volunteers and all us Americans. I have my eagle lamp with a flag, small flags a friend bought me from a Trump Rally, Magazines from 9-11. I think this day bought all the Americans together. 9-11. America is still here. Hopefully, we, America, will be great again! I love my country!
