Most Independent Thing
Prompt: What is the most independent thing you have ever done?

I moved into an apartment with my friend but she let her boyfriend move in. I wanted it to be just my friend and me. I moved in with another friend and her baby later on and she had three other girls move in and we fought.

Getting a job and getting paychecks made me feel independent. The job wasn't easy but I was making money. Having a job no matter how much it sucks, is being independent. Becoming a writer even though I will never be famous, is being independent.

Learning skills and how to manage things in life is independent. Having your own credit cards, driving, taking classes, being able to do something for yourself and not depending on others is independence. I sold Avon and being a Avon Representative gives you a feeling of being independent.

Put all these things together help me become independent. I am far from perfect. I try to enjoy life and tell myself that I can do this. With God's help, I will.
