Fridged rain trickles inside in a broken window, Mother's final breath. The wail of traffic traveling on wet pavement, A lonely wife's cries. A mockingbird calls from the treetops to his mate, A black hearse passes. Cloudy blue-gray sky masking the snow-capped mountains, A lonesome poet. A fallen oak tree grows fungus and sphagnum moss, Forgotten graveyard. |
