Short Life, Boredom

Prompt: Joy said since life is so short, why do we have the concept of boredom?

I think we want to be happy but life isn't always that way. I don't like baseball and other sports or politics, I get bored. We aren't all going to be happy and like the same things, so boredom happens. I get bored with staying home but I want to be safe, so I stay home a lot. Boredom is part of life like happiness, love, having pets and seeing the bad things as well as the good. I get bored with all the politics crap, promises of a vaccine and try to find happiness. I would love to be happy and never bored but life doesn't work that way. I do hope better times are ahead and I will be bored less.
