Prompt: What sudden things scare you? Joy asked if it was a doorbell, being alone in the cemetery or what other things scare you?
Halloween. Good time to be scared. I was watching the second Jurassic World movie and Owen was encouraging the dinosaur to break out of her cement stall. I had seen it before and the exact time the dinosaur broke free, my cat jumped on the couch and I screamed. I thought that dinosaur 🦕 had me.
Hearing noises outside at night. That's scary. The phone ringing. Once I saw a corn stalk walk out of the cornfield. It was a wild turkey.
One morning my husband and I heard a crash and our electricity went out. A drunken man hit our utility pole.
Banging noises. Thunder. Amber alert on my phone. Someone in your yard honking their horn.
Being in a cemetery is scary. I worked at the county home which was haunted. Strange ghostly happenings. Loud noises. Lights going off and on. I could write a book on that.
I do get scared easily. Being scared keeps us alert.

Prompt: Let It Be and Let It Go. How many times have you used these concepts to get through life when problems arise?
Always! Let It Be By The Beatles. Mother Mary. I am not Catholic but I attended a Catholic Collège that was public. I prayed in their Chapel a lot and thought of The Beatles song Let It Be and Mother Mary as I looked at her statue and statues of Jesus. I had problems with a couple of classes and a boyfriend. My father was home from Vietnam and drinking. I looked for answers. Dad found God and Jesus. I am glad he did. I let it be and prayed.
When working, dealing with family and other issues. Let it be. I sometimes get mad and expressed my feelings but I tried not to hurt anyone though I was hurting. I pray about it and let God handle it.
Let It Go. Elsa of Frozen. My favorite Disney Princess. I sing this song when I am upset and it helps me feel better. I wish I could throw ice icicles like Elsa does and build me an ice castle to hide in. At work. I had to let it go. I would go to the front office and yell on the night shift when no one was around. I would cry. I prayed and felt better. I worked in mental health. A girl hung herself. She lived. I am glad she did. The patients would throw things, yell and bang their head against the wall. The cutters. That was hard to handle! I called my Nursing Supervisor and prayed then got answers.
My personal life. Let it be. Forgive family and friends who hurt you. Let it go. Pray. This is how I handle things. We will always have problems but we have to handle them and do what we can to solve them in a peaceful manner. This is how I do it.

Prompt: Lyn said the solar eclipse is tomorrow. Friday the 13th. 13 is associated with 13 people and Jesus and the last supper. Jesus being crucified. 13 is unlucky. With this in mind.
Sometimes, strange things happen on Friday the 13th. Scary. One year, there were a lot of crows in my yard on the 13th. The gas pump stopped pumping gas. The skies looked strange. The phone rang three times. I answered and they hung up. Today, it is cloudy and going to rain. I do get nervous on the 13th. When I was working in Nursing, the patients were really bad. Yelling, hitting each other and acts like they wanted to climb the walls. I am always glad when the 13th passes.
Solar Eclipse. It is always cloudy when it happens in Indiana. You aren't supposed to look at it without glasses or a cardboard box with a peek hole. That is spooky. It is going to rain tomorrow.
I guess bad luck can happen anytime. I just pray for good things.

Look What You Made Me Do By Taylor Swift
This video shows a zombie Taylor climbing out of a grave. A spooky cemetery. There is a car in fire. She dances around and this video is dark. It is like she had a bad romance. I have been there. It is like a nice girl turns bad. Her music has changed over the years. This is like a spooky Halloween video. She is on the phone and says the old Taylor is dead. Look what you made me do. She turned bad. She wears all these fancy dresses. She talks about games and how she feels dead. Is this song a cry for help?
I couldn't get into this song. I like a few dark things. Taylor wasn't always like this. I will just listen to her old music. The sweet Taylor with beautiful heartfelt songs. I saw it was Taylor and had to listen to this song. I was curious. Maybe she went through another bad romance that triggered this song. Now, she is seeing a football player and I hope it works out. Maybe she will cheery songs and be the old Taylor. |

I guess this refers to patience. A river just flows and goes. You ask where does the water go? The river has no destination or mission. Like humans. We have places to go and deadlines. We go forward but a river just flows. It doesn't stop for a break unless a beaver dams it up or man. I wish I didn't have to live life in a hurry. I like doing things at my own pace. Sometimes, we go at a fast pace and still get nowhere and ask was this worth it? Someday, we will do this or someday, we will do that. It may not happen. We do our best. We flow like a river going forward. We need to find patience along the way and pray. We will get there someday
