Prompt: Water a Flower Day. Write about flowers in your Blog entry today.

Flowers. I used to grow flowers but I quit planting them. Too much work and mother nature doesn't always gives us the water we need. I don't like going outside to water flowers. I love roses but we can't have fresh flowers all the time. They don't live long. I got a plant from Church and my husband planted it for me. It is a red chrysanthemum and very pretty. Flowers are nice. I have arthritis and I quit planting flowers wuite a few years ago. Indoor plants. My kitty would be in them. I admire flowers from magazines and houses I drive past. I am glad flowers exist. They make the world a prettier place

Prompt: National Creativity Day is coming up. What do you do to be creative? Hobbies? Crafts? Write about this in your Blog entry today.

I used to scrapbook and do crafts. I used to do stress relief coloring. The past few years, I clean house, go shopping, go to Church and Game Night. I have arthritis and I am not active much. I have never given up writing. That is my hobby and I don't plan on giving that up. Once in awhile, I will scrapbook an item. Being retired is a relief. I can do things at my leisure. Maybe I will get back into hobbies again.

Prompt: When I started writing. Lyn asked if we thought it was crap and asked if we thought we would ever get there and how we did it.

After 21 years, I thought what was I thinking? I started with a simple teddy bear story. I wrote about Barbie and George Harrison. I did a few Blog entries. I tried fantasy and romance then wrote Jane Austen romance type stories. I wrote poems. I decided to write a variety of stories and genres. I got published.I decided I got this. I am not Danielle Steel but I love writing and now I write. If anyone wants to read it, I would love to hear from them. This is my second home and I feel happy with what I write. I no longer worry who likes my writing. I like it.

I am writing this for Merit Badge Magic. I am earning the Music Merit Badge.

Music. I love music. I started with The Beatles. My friends in Third Grade pretended we were The Beatles and sang in the woods at Recess. I was so excited to see The Beatles on Ed Sullivan. I was hooked. Last week, I played No Reply 4 times in a row. I love watching A Hard Day's Night and Help. I like to sing You Got To Hide Your Love Away. I Need You. I Am Happy To Dance With You. I do enjoy The Beatles.

Later on, I moved on to Glen Campbell music. He was my favorite and country music was a favorite with me when I was 13. I wanted to go to Galveston, Phoenix and Glen was just great. Watching Dark Shadows and Glen's music got me through Junior High.

I play music on YouTube. I play music in my car. I like listening Are You Going To San Francisco? I put on my flower headbands and I am an old Hippie! I love the 70's Music. Me and You and a Dog Named Boo. Cracklin Rosie. I could name a million. The Cat's In The Cradle. This song described my father and our relationship. He was in the Air Force and went to Vietnam. We were never close and he was always busy. The song If Not For You By Olivia Newton John. I had a crush on the neighbor guy and we tried to be together but there were obstacles. We see each other as much as we could.

Kiss and Alice Cooper. I saw Kiss in concert. Hard Luck Woman seemed to be my theme song for years. Rock and Roll All Night and Party Every Day. I did that. I saw Alice Cooper in person 2 times. My son and I followed his Limo to McDonalds after a concert and was behind the Limo. I am not sure if he was in there or not. Alice gave a great concert. The one song about Dwight Frye in a mental institution. Alice was Dwight breaking out and grabbed the woman dressed like a Nurse. The audience is yelling kill the Nurse! I said: "No, don't kill the Nurse. I am the Nurse in Mental Health in the Midnight Shift." I like Eighteen. This song came out a year before I turned Eighteen. Teenage Lament. I had those moments. Billion Dollar Babies. No Mr. Nice Guy. School's Out. A favorite among us high school students.

Taylor Swift. Her songs remind me of past loves I had. The one song Back to December. Makes me think of the neighbor guy at 15. I just think back of how we were. The song dancing by the refrigerator light. We were in the kitchen one time just dancing. You Be The Prince and I'll Be The Princess. I would sneak outside to see him. Can't You See It Should Be Me? I had a crush on my friend's boyfriend later and no one else knew. She was mean to him and this song reminds me of how I felt about him. We were out later but it never worked out.

I like listening to music when I clean house. Keith Urban. The song about being in his car. I dance to it and clean house. George Strait I like. Garth Brooks song The Dance reminds me of friends who passed on. Music takes us to a lot of places. Some good memories and some bad.

I met Loretta Lynn in person. She is the sweetest person ever She took time to talk to me. Other singers, you get their autograph and they don't talk to you. Sad. Music is the fastest way to relive an old memory and remember what your life was like at that time. Works for me. Thanks for reading.

Prompt: May the 4th be with you. Write about Star Wars.

I love Star Wars. I love Luke Skywalker, Chewie, Princess Leia, C3Po, R2D2 and all the original heroes. I was sad when Darth Vadar died. Both of them. Adam Driver is cute. Our original heroes fought Darth Vadar and took out the bad guys and became our heroes. The new ones. They are neat as well. The older generation love the original Star Wars best and they will always live in our hearts. Hans Solo being killed. Not cool. Losing Carrie Fisher ni real life. Chewbecca almost getting blown up in the shuttle craft. I almost cried at the theatre. They killed off Hans, Luke and we lost Leia in real life. You can't take away my heroes. Chewbecca was on another shuttle. What a relief. I like Return of the Jedi best. Luke is a hero. The cute little Ewoks. Darth Vadar defeated. Yoda died. Obi One Kinobie. We saw our heroes at the end. Luke gets to say Good Bye to them and the audience does as well. We lose our heroes later in the last movie series of Star Wars and we welcome the new heroes but still love our originals. I know I do. I like the first series the best. I admire the new heroes. My Christmas Stocking of the original heroes is in my front room. My stuffed Chewbecca and Baby Yoda. My Star Wars ornaments from the original live in my closet and need to go on the Christmas Tree. I love Star Wars. Every time, I hear the music, I smile. May the force and 4th be with me. Oh. I used Darth Vadar as my ring tone when my boss would call me. You talk about scary. My boss, Darth Vadar was after me. I am retired now. No Darth Vadar is after me now! I may have a Star Wars party today and tomorrow.

A beautiful Sig of me by best friend Angel for St. Pats Day.

48 Hour Music Challenge
Sugar By Maroon 5

These guys said they were going to attend every Wedding they could to sing. They surprised the Bride and Groom and all the guests. They are singing a love song about wanting to be the only one. They sing pretty good. They look civilized. Attending Weddings and singing a love song fits in with the pattern. Sugar. Why was it called sugar? Guess I don't know. Sugar is kisses. They want kisses. It is nice to see a video that makes sense and the music isn't all wild. I can relate to it. This held my attention. The band at my Wedding was a band that played at all the high school dances and they were a novelty to us in our small town. I like this song. I had never heard it before. This song was enlightening. The band driving down the streets and everyone knew them. It is a song I could have on my PlayList. I have heard other songs by these guys so I am familiar with them. If I was on Dick Clark, I would give them a 8 or a 9. A good song with a nice melody and a good theme. They aren't a wild Rock Band even though I liked wild Rock Bands of the 80's. I enjoy some quiet peaceful music like this song. Good choice this week.

Prompt: Gordon Lightfoot, a great singer died this week. Write about one of his songs in your Blog entry today.

I liked The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald. This song was so sad about how these men went down on an oil tanker ship. I always get emotional over Titanic and The Perfect Storm. The Edward Fitzgerald. The men were friends as well as workers. When a sailor dies, the bell rings one time each for man. Gordon Lightfoot sang folklike songs. I picture the men at sea in crisis and always feel sorry for them. The song has a beautiful melody and tells a story that touches our hearts. I pray for all these men and everyone who lost their life at sea. The lakes are cruel at times like the ocean. We need to respect the waters.
