Prompt: Joy asked us to write about a place that makes us happy, feels like home and feel safe.
Lake Michigan. My mother and I and a friend have a picnic there and look at the Lake. I always feel peaceful and happy. I feel like I am somewhere besides Indiana and it is a Paradise. Watching the seagulls and hearing the waves. I love it.
At Church, I get this feeling. I pray for guidance.
Shopping at The Home Goods Store and Kate Spade. You feel at home and peaceful as you forget the world's problems.
My husband and I used to go to a big lake by an amusement park and ride this boat and go all over the lake. Some rich people had fancy homes there and it was nice.
Going to Michigan is nice. The Christmas Store and a nice restaurant where you get the best chicken dinners. My cousin has a nice house in Michigan by the lake. This feels like home.
These places make me happy. |

Prompt: Write about the stars in the sky.
The stars. We make a wish and dreams on them. There are all kind of stars. The Big Dipper. Bear. There is a whole galaxy of stars. There are falling stars. They turn blue when they fall. The stars look pretty in the sky and so peaceful. The stars make us happy. Stars light the way. Stars are high in the sky. We try to reach for the stars. It is a good thing to look at stars. They are relaxing.

Prompt: Lighthouses. Have you ever visited a Lighthouse? Write about Lighthouses in your Blog entry today.
I have visited two Lighthouses. One in Michigan City, Indiana. There are two Lighthouses. The old lighthouse is a museum. Pictures of ships that went down. A child's room with toys. Lighthouse equipment. The light upstairs. It is nice. The second one you walk to and it is on the lake. It's treachous in the winter time. A man fell in the ice and drowned. It is safe to tour the old one.
St. Augustine, Florida. I love the lighthouse there. I climbed all 300 some steps and wore myself out. The light is at the very top. They wouldn't let us up there. It was too windy. I can't believe the poor lighthouse keeper climbed all those steps to the light every day. There is a cardboard picture of the lighthouse keeper and I posed with him for a picture. The lighthouse has three rooms downstairs. They are neat. A Woodstove. Seeing the ocean out the windows.
It is rumored to have ghosts of children but I didn't see them.
The lighthouse is black and white striped. I love lighthouses. I am glad I got to tour the ones I did.

Prompt: Joy asked how happy we are with Post Office delivery services. She asked if they are on time. She asked if we got a box with no address on it or return address, would we accept it?
Our mail may be delivered at 9:00AM or not until 4:00 Pm. Once or twice a week, we get no mail. We are the last house on the route before the next house a mile away starts a new county. I am disappointed in mail services.
If we got a box with no address or return address, I would call the police and throw the box in the cornfield. We can't be too careful that's for sure.
I don't care for snaim mail services.

Prompt: Lyn asked us how we can tell the signs of winter is coming. Ant hills being higher in July. A family of woodpeckers living in a tree. A white owl sighting. Ducks leaving. Birds leaving. I am writing about this today.
When the ducks and robins leave, you know winter is coming. Seeing wooly worms. They are a good sign of winter. Corn fields are no longer green. Flowers stop growing. You see less insects. Frost appears. It is getting cold. Hummingbirds leave. You get more rain. You get snow flurries. You don't see farmers out anymore in the fields. The air feels different. Squirrels are collecting nuts and acorns. The zoo closes and the pools close. It it stays at 40 Degrees and lower. You know winter is coming.

Prompt:4th of July. How do you celebrate?
My husband and I had a Cookout. We had steak, cheeseburgers, hotdogs, baked beans, potato salad, chocolate cake, French Vanilla Ice Cream. We had Mom over.
We watched fireworks on TV. Fireworks were being shot off in a town next to us.
Happy 4th!

Prompt: July 4 is Alice In Wonderland Day. What ideas do use to celebrate Alice in Wonderland Day?
I hope to watch my Alice In Wonderland movies, the ones with Johnny Depp. Those were children can dress up the kids and do an Alice In Wonderland skit. Read Alice In Wonderland. If you live in New York, you can take some friends and go to Central Park and have a picnic by the Alice In Wonderland statue. Maybe you just drink tea. This is an interesting holiday. I do love Alice In Wonderland.

Prompt: Joy talked about The Statue Of Liberty and asked how we feel about The Statue Of Liberty and statues in general.
I like statues. I would love to see the Statue of Alice In Wonderland in Central Park. I love Alice In Wonderland. I would love to see the Statue of Jane Austen in England they made a few years back. You know I love Jane Austen. We have a Statue of a Native American Chief 20 minutes away and he lead his people out when they had to leave. It is a beautiful statue.
The Statue Of Liberty. I love her. She welcomes everyone to New York. She is beautiful. She is a symbol of hope for a new life, new beginning and hope. It is a promise of good things that can happen. She is a gift from France. I love in Titanic when Rose is standing in front of it and realizes she has the sapphire heart necklace in Cals coats pocket.
The Statue of Jesus in Rio Dejanario. I love Jesus and would love to see this statue. He's beautiful. The Statue and so is Jesus.
Statues are symbols of people we admire. Some we would like to knock down of a person we don't care for. Like General Custer. I am part Native American. Enough said. Statues are neat though.
