We do have memories and if we share them with others, others will admire us and respect us. We have others we admire their works as well. Our deeds will be remembered and we should hold our good deeds and care about people. Maybe like Rosa Parks, we will be remembered. Getting books published will help. We will feel good about ourselves.

Prompt: A beautiful baby giraffe was born at a zoo in Tennessee. What's the big deal? She has no spots. She is all brown. I am writing about her today.
I saw her on the news. I wanted to hug her. Her mother loves her and didn't reject her. The baby giraffe 🦒 doesnt know she is different and special but we do.
There was a spotless giraffe born in Japan in 1972. This is the second time this has happened in the world.
You can bet the zoo owners will take very good care of her and she will be their favorite. Look at that face. I wish I could see her and take care of her. With all the world problems and my knee surgery, this is great news. Welcome to the world, beautiful brown no spots giraffe. You are loved.

Prompt: Patience, a Midwife, only one in a play. Joy posted a loaded question about Patience, the midwife, being the only one in a play in this world, are we acting, and how do we feel about midwives.
Sometimes, I am playing a role and a character asking what my purpose in life is. I worked in Nursing, passing out meds but never worked in a hospital. Midwives. A nurse at work had all her babies delivered by a Midwife and she was happy. The nurse delivered my baby. My doctor had diarrhea. Another nurse I worked with said he was drunk. Do I believe in Midwives? I don't know. I couldn't trust my doctor.
Patience. I have never read her story. Midwives played a big role.
I am living reality as I am getting through my knee replacement. I still hurt. My husband is my nurse right now and I am doing a few things on my own.

Prompt: Elvis Presley died August 16, 1977. Were you an Elvis Die Hard Fan or are there other singers you love and admire more?
I wasn't an Elvis Fan. Sure I liked some of his songs and his movies. I loved The Beatles. George Harrison was my favorite. I always thought he was cute and I like two of his songs. I loved all The Beatles songs. I loved A Hard Day's Night and Help.My friends and I used to pretend we were The Beatles. I was eight. I had a Beatles Picture Notebook, Wallet and a lot of their records. Life was fun then.
Prince. I loved his music and Purple Rain movie. I have my own Prince Group here at WDC. I commissioned a Merit Badge of him. I thought he was sexy. I wrote poems about him and wrote poems from his title songs.
Glen Campbell was my favorite singer ever. He got me through Junior High. I would watch his show and his music was beautiful and soothing. I joined his Fan Club and got a book of him, huge poster and an autographed picture of him. I cherish these. I enjoyed his movie True Grit and Norwood.
There are other singers I like and love but I decided to share my favorite singers.

It is sprinkling today. The weather is going to be severe and rain really bad. Summer is almost over and I am facing knee replacement next week. I hope getting my knee resurfaced will make me better and make my life good again and I can enjoy what is left of summer so I can go see Lake Michigan and walk like I want to. I love the rain. I enjoyed shopping. I bought me a new big green, blue ring that is expensive. The rain makes me happy and relaxed and I need that right now. Rain is necessary. To be free of leg pain. I do need that. Hopefully, the rain won't cause a severe storm. I always like Sylvia Plath. I agree with her thinking. A new fall. I will have my new knee and can face fall with a good attitude. That is my new positive. I pray for a great fall. I hope to see Lake Michigan before fall gets here. I want life to be good. I want life to be happy. Rain be gentle and let life be anew along with my knee. I pray for all of us.

Prompt: August 7 has five holidays in one day. National Lighthouse Day, Purple Heart Day, Professional Speakers Day, National Sea Serpent Day and National Raspberries & Cream Day. Write about these holidays in your Blog entry today.
National Lighthouse Day. I would love to go see a lighthouse. Maybe there is a ceremony with someone getting a purple heart. Maybe a lighthouse keeper's family member will be receiving the heart. Someone will be giving a speech about lighthouses and how hard it for us lighthouse keepers to keep the lights on. A sea serpent. Maybe one will come to visit but he will have to be nice and I hope he didn't eat any boats in the past. A raspberries and cream sundae. No thanks. I will be eating chocolate sundae. I will walk the lighthouse steps and be happy to be part of this beautiful five in one holiday.

Prompt: Joy asked if we found a teleportation device, where would we go? To the past? The present or what?
I would go to Jane Austen's time, the Medieval Times to visit the Princesses and Kings. I would spend the day with gypsies and pirates but those pirates had better behave. I would make them like Captain Jack Sparrow. I would want to visit Highclere Castle, Downton Abbey. I always felt sorry for Anne Boleyn, Marie Antionette and Joan Of Arc. I would to have met Jane Austen. That would be fun for me. I could get writing lessons from her. If I got in a mess or in trouble, I would want to be able to zoom out in a hurry. Beam me up, Scotty! Maybe I would use the teleportation devise to spy on politicians. I don't trust them. Hopefully, God will keep them in line. Maybe I would go meet George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. They seem nice an honest and also Ben Franklin. I always liked them. The teleportation device would be fun to just what life was like years ago. If only.
My personal life. I want to go back before we had Covid. I would live to go back to the 60's and 70"s. I would like to go back to when I was in The Miss Indiana Teenager Pageant and Junior Miss. I had fun at the Catholic College I went to. When I was first married and I had my son. Life was good back then.
