Fridged rain trickles
inside in a broken window,
Mother's final breath.

The wail of traffic
traveling on wet pavement,
A lonely wife's cries.

A mockingbird calls
from the treetops to his mate,
A black hearse passes.

Cloudy blue-gray sky
masking the snow-capped mountains,
A lonesome poet.

A fallen oak tree
grows fungus and sphagnum moss,
Forgotten graveyard.

I don't know what her name is,
I don't know what her game is,
All I know is that she seems to be
The one who brings me joy.
I'll trust in my heartbeat,
As I'm sitting in the hot seat,
And if she'd simply look at me,
I'd be a happy boy.
a happy boy,
Her attention I'd enjoy,
a happy boy.
At first I'll play it coy,
a happy boy.
With her feelings I'll toy,
a happy boy.
And if she'd get annoyed,
unhappy boy,
I'd be an unhappy boy.
