Unless you've seen the years, Pass by as if a day, You might not understand, What I'm about to say. It may be delusive, Attempting to look strong, As I come to cold terms, Long past my own swan song. Abilities I've lost, The grogginess of life, Embarrassment, weakness, Compound my daily strife. If I may quote Shakespeare, As if he speaks to me, There's but one last question, "To be or not to be." |
Kites adorn the atmosphere, They fly high though tethered here, Distance makes them disappear, Do they feel the pain of fear? If kites fear to fly too high, Why do they identify, As a toy, do they comply, With peer pressure we supply? If kites don't find what they seek, If they learned, like me, to freak, At altitude, would they speak, In truths masked by tongue in cheek? |
