Welcome to Ten Forward!

Here, we—that is, PuppyTales Author IconMail Icon and I—present to you our own scientific recipes for delicious and warp-capable adult beverages. Some are modified from the vast collection of drink recipes you can find in the Federation databaseelsewhere on the Internet; some are (we think) original. What they all have in common is they're inspired by Star Trek. But no worries—not a single drop of synthehol will be found in this collection!

Star Trek has been alcohol-positive since its inception in 1966. In one memorable early episode, Scotty defeats an alien antagonist by drinking him under the table, even going so far as to polish off his bottle of rare Scotch.

While mixing a drink with rare Scotch would be a violation of the Organian Peace Treaty, our agreements with the Romulans, the Temporal Accords, the Ferengi Rules of Acquisition, and everything that is good and pure in the Alpha Quadrant, you'll find concoctions made with just about anything else. And we intend for this collection to continue to expand.

One final note: when searching for recipes online, whether for drinks or food, the authors seem to have this need to write a PhD thesis before getting to the actual recipe. This annoys me, so the entries here start out with the recipe; any notes on planet of origin, inspiration, or explanation will come after.

Obviously, Star Trek and everything about it is the property of Paramount Studios, who we hope doesn't sue us. Drink responsibly or face court-martial.
