I live my life in dreams.
or it is that it seems.
I am never awake and alive.
I always feel dead inside.
Unless I am asleep.
There is where the secrets keep.
I wish for that in the waking land.
As I count the grains of sand.
As I cross the desert that is my life.
and try to work through all the strife.
Some day my dreams will be,
what I call reality.
And I will dream no more.
What else are dreams for?
but to spur us onward in our life.
to work away from the toil and strife.
To the love we find when awake.
Keep on going for mercy's sake.
Someday you will wake to morning's light.
and find that everything is right.
Today just may be that day.
That everything will go your way.
And no longer will it seem,
that you need to live your life in dreams.
