27. Write a poem about imagined history and other qualities of several items on an auction, garage, white elephant, or tag sale. Magic Potion In These Rags There they hung Pegged to stop falling Double folded some Just too big to safely grace A plastic hanger, rows and rows Designer label outfits, that reeked Style, quality of eras gone by The heavy duties, some larger than a mac truck Poking and pulling the fanciest attire Offering mere pennies, for designer clothing Disappointed, enraged, insulted She removed the for sale sign Pack up her treasures for the day There must be away to get decent monies For her over-sized designer clothing She would try next week again She busied herself all week printing off a Magic Potion for each designer outfit Down to the dollar store in a flash she flew Purchased a whole wack of pastel envelopes She stuffed an envelop for each outfit Sealing them shut with the Magic Potion Perched on a stool, next to a little card table Looking like a little Pixie in a Halloween costume The little card table draped in a gold metalic lame' There lay the pretty pastel envelopes all sealed With the Magic Potion inside They came still offering mere pennies She would pipe up I have a magic potion for each outfit Spinning around with a little home made wand She chirped For a wee fee you too can shrink in size, like me I will sell you my Magic Potion You can only seek the Magic Potion Inside Once you wear the outfit for one full day. That day she had record sales She packed up her emptied clothes racks And laughed all the way to the bank! Decora ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** |
