Modern Day Pottery Out shopping one day Her eyes rested apon A Fiber Optic Lamp Reeling her back in time Oh, how she had loved those Expensive little lamps Drawing her in to the store As if in a trance Steering her right to The little fiber optic lamp Less than 8 loonies The merchant tag read They were almost unaffordable Way back then half a months wages, Was too dear to spend on such a fancy Without hestition, she plunked the Lamp on the counter She thought to herself 60 years later, finally can afford A fiber optic lamp Once home she realized the annoying Blinking lights in the base was driving her nuts She sat on her sofa, staring at the optical wonder On the very shopping day For some unknow reason She tossed Mod Podge Glue in her cart Being an artsy-fartsy type of person She looked at the blinking lights Ponders, ah huh! The glue will fix Those ugly blinking lights Rooting around in her fabric and craft stash She found what she needed Plunk into an empty yogurt container Went a bit of Mod Podge Next went the fabric all thoroughly soaked Draping her creation over a plastic pie lid She pinched and tweaked the edges to form a little dish Set it to dry, soon her little modern pottery was formed Hiding those ugly blinking lights!
