About This Author
My name is Joy, and I love to write. Why poetry, here? Because poetry uplifts its writer, and if she is lucky enough, her readers, too. Around us, so many objects abound to write about. Once a poet starts with a smallest, most trivial object, he shall discover that his pen will spill out what is most delicate or most majestic hidden inside him. Since the classics sometimes dealt with lofty subjects with a lofty language, a person with poetry in his soul may incline to emulate that. That is understandable. Poetry does that to a person: it enlarges the soul and gives it wings. Yet, to really soar, a poet needs to take off from the ground. ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only **

It ain't over till it's over

You can observe a lot by just watching
If you just don’t look away
And it ain’t over till it’s over
Don’t you know that by the way

I never said most of the things I’ve said
But it still doesn’t make them true
And still I can remember
what I forgot to remember too

And when I came to the fork in the road
I took it
Though it doesn’t matter now
It's like deja-vu, all over again
But yet I don’t know how

To take it with a grin of salt
Cause the future ain't what it used to be
And we made too many wrong mistakes
But I only counted three

as always,

"a thin trail of whispers
across a wandering mind
faint flashes of fantasy
that I often find
merely jaded shadows
of who I used to be
they fill with words, my pages
for all the world to see"
