Konstantin Stanislavski is the Russian legend who founded "the method" for acting, before his death in 1938. His teachings are still valid and widely used; they are also adapted to American theater. After looking through an old book that has tidbits of his method, I think learning something about this method and understanding the challenges of the actors and the stage would help playwrights when writing their plays. Don't forget that we have an ongoing playwriting contest in "The Play's The Thing" by StephBee .
