Well, I don't actually consider it a muse. That was just the way Leger worded it. If I listen to anything, it is my characters.

I try not to sit around and wait for inspiration to write because then I wouldn't get much finished. Many authors say that one key to writing is to treat it like a job, to sit down and write even if the "muse" has taken a vacation.

For me, this contest is an exercise in consistent writing (every day) even if the prompt doesn't go with what I prefer to write.
