I have always written my entries first, and then read the others - oh for no reason in particular.

A long time ago there was a writer following me around on the contest track and entering her entries after mine. It seemed that she was using elements in my works and doing it better too. I enjoyed that. I see nothing wrong with it. The rule in this case is do it better or do it different.

I really do not take myself serious, just the craft. I like to think I inspired that writer, though. I feel that if it works use it. No two writers write the same. Of course, everybody knows that. However, I see the point. Reading other entries before writing one could cramp a writer's style.
