About This Author
My name is Joy, and I love to write. Why poetry, here? Because poetry uplifts its writer, and if she is lucky enough, her readers, too. Around us, so many objects abound to write about. Once a poet starts with a smallest, most trivial object, he shall discover that his pen will spill out what is most delicate or most majestic hidden inside him. Since the classics sometimes dealt with lofty subjects with a lofty language, a person with poetry in his soul may incline to emulate that. That is understandable. Poetry does that to a person: it enlarges the soul and gives it wings. Yet, to really soar, a poet needs to take off from the ground. ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only **

Seeing Through Layers
by A Non-Existent User
This huge wide world, people surround-
nice, sweet, great to have 'em around
What goes a round comes a round
That's the way it is, some johnnie once found

But there are some to avoid,
hypocrites, liars....you get so paranoid
And in the end, you wonder why you convoyed
It could be your husband, in-laws or the boss who got you employed

But life, a train journey, has to go on
see though them, or you're a pawn
One day you will, wake up to see the dawn
Even though they're long gone.

Wake up, don't let 'em get ya!
From Asia to Africa, America to Libya,
people are the same, so is an African or India Rhea
Who is she? Is her name Piya?

P.S. Well, I think I interpreted it differently, not sure if it's okay though. Sorry about that. Sorry to bring the countries in into this, I honestly don't know what's happening in these countries(hey, was that a joke?)....Well, I don't know if it sounds corny(?), but I had fun doing this.

Please put up more prompts. ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only **
