First, Thank you for sharing this with me. Second, sorry it took me so long to do this review:

My thought: This is pretty good, you have a good ways with words as you unfold your story as you have a very good eye for details which makes you a pretty good story teller.

My Favorite Part: He didn’t know how much longer he could stand her. Even walking this far, putting that small bit of distance between them, made him sigh with relief. Pausing halfway up, he tilted his head back, taking a deep breath. The charred hint of charcoal burned his nostrils, and somehow, it reminded him of a time when the air didn’t taste so dark; long ago, it seems now. Too long.

There are some other good lines, but this paragraph stood out to me...
