Hi Carlton, I think the problem is that there has really been some stiff competition. I usually look at the prompt first thing in the morning and compose my story in my head during the day. By the time the day is over and I write it, I have gone over it so many times that it goes very fast. I am a really fast typist also... approximately 100 words a minute. Sometimes my pieces seem long, but I compose as I write as a part of my job...business letters and memos, but still composing. Also, I make very few errors, but the ones that I make, I go back and correct afterwards. I don't try to correct right that moment usually. I think the biggest thing is that some of these people are amazing writers with wonderful imaginations. I lack those two skills. lol |
