What a great idea! Thanks for the opportunity I enjoy collecting teapots and teacups too, but my favourite craft is Ukrainian egg decorating, also known as "pysanky". I learned how to do it at a local community college in January 2008 and even though the course is only once a week for 8 weeks, I keep going back and retaking the course every time it runs, because it's become a weekly social gathering. It's a fun hobby that doesn't require a lot of room or cost a lot for supplies. You need the right tools and dyes, and you don't need to be a Rembrandt to create beautiful designs on eggs of any size. I use chicken eggs most often, but have done most sizes from parakeet up to ostrich. Here's a link to a little info about it, together with a photo of one of my eggs:
