Hmm, I can write down the story in less than 15 minutes, but to edit it and refine it and use nicer words and more varied verbs, etc, takes so much more time! I actually edited my post, I had a comma splice (I think, I'm never sure with those dastardly things) and I changed hoofbeats to wingbeats, because it's supposed to be about dragons, so I don't know how hoofbeats crept in. How about you?

I'm with you about the contest. I'm really busy irl, and I haven't had time to write something new in weeks. I was getting totally frustrated. But this contest is perfect! The piece I wrote is with two characters I have stuck in my mind for ages, I think I even have most of the plot, but I haven't written anything about them yet, until now. I will definitely use the scene again though!

Really liked the prompt as well. Often there's less room for high fantasy in picture prompts, but this could go lots of ways.
