Re: Re: Depression knows no limits

Muchas gracias para su respuesta, Andrew. *Smile* That was my original intention when I posted - just to show that even though I appear to be one of the least likely victims of depression, that doesn't necessarily mean I am one of the least likely victims. I am fortunate to have been born into a relatively affluent family, but material riches don't equate to satisfaction. I'm actually taking a gap year right now since I was 16 years old when I graduated from high school earlier this year (yes, I was advanced...), for the sake of taking advantage of an unprecedented opportunity to travel extensively while using my linguistic talents to serve others. I haven't regretted my decision one bit. It's an amazing feeling to be finally free from the pressures of academics and peers, even if only for one year. Or, as you said in your post, I am finally getting a chance to "live" rather than merely "survive".
