It's with a great deal of sadness that I announce the closing of Beyond The Water's Edge. Over the last couple years, it just hasn't seen the participation necessary to keep it open, either as a fiction contest, or in its most recent incarnation as an essay/nonfiction contest.  Rather than keep the contest open and hobbling along, we're going to close it for the time being and focus on other activities for the Talent Pond.We might open BtWE again in the future, but for now it's on indefinite hiatus. Thank you to everyone who took the time to enter a past round, and I'll make sure that those who entered this round are reviewed and rewarded.
