I stood on the rocks watching the waves of the ocean and smelling the salt in the air. Suddenly a mermaid jumped out of the water, smiling and waving at me.
“Mermaids are real!”
“My name is Amatheia and I want you to come with me.”
“But how will I breath underwater?”
“Don’t worry land creature I will help you.”
I took off my clothes except my underwear and followed Amatheia into the water. My clothes would have only weighed me down making it harder to move. Swimming deeper I could see all the wonders of the ocean. Sea turtles swam by us and I reached out and touched its shell feeling the hard, bumpy surface. Schools of clown fish, sea horses and even a sting ray swam around us. All the different species living together in perfect harmony and I wished I could live here forever. I began to struggle as I could not hold my breath anymore and I felt an ache in my side. The mermaid swam over and kissed me breathing in air into my lungs. I could relax again and witness the wonders of the ocean. Amatheia was beautiful in the water her long white hair moved in the water like ribbons in the wind. The top half was all woman and I could clearly see her breasts. I wanted her like no one else and swimming close I grabbed Amatheia and kissed her.
I felt my body being jerked up and I felt the air on my skin. There was shouting, bright lights and my body felt strange. The concrete was hard under my skin and I found myself looking up at a man.
“What’s wrong with you kid? Were you trying to die?”
“Huh?”
The man glared down at me wearing dark khaki shorts and a blue shirt. I noticed a tag on his shirt that read ‘Zoo Employee’. Then it dawned on me, I wasn’t anywhere near the ocean. I had gone to the zoo with friends and we dropped some acid. Looking around I could see a large crowd gathering to get a glimpse of the commotion.
The zoo employee shook his head, “Never in my life has anyone jumped in one of the tanks and try to kiss one of the dolphins. And in their underwear! What is wrong with you?”
There was flash of light as I realized that someone had just taken a photo of me. I knew whatever I had done, was now recorded and I was going to be a very unwilling star of you tube. I vowed right then that I was never going to do acid again.
