To whom it may concern, If anyone at all, We may not be extinct, But our population’s small. Endangered so they say, For many of our kind. So, we’re pleading for our case Just a bit, if you don’t mind. We know the spill’s effects Have, in essence, come and gone But the shrimp boats and their nets Is a problem that goes on. Though devices have been made Which help us to swim free. The fishermen aren’t forced To use them, so you see We’re dying as we speak In numbers far too great We need someone to help Before it’s far too late. Sincerely, The Sea Turtles |
