I read this and think it's quite useful as it reminds writers about such things as what things should be utilized when beginning a story. The first time I was writing, I decided I was going to see if I could write a novel. I decided what I wanted to have happen (overall). I just wasn't sure how that would come about. I'd written the beginning, which introduced the main characters. I realized after a read-through that the beginning was predictable and maybe boring. It was edited and revised it. Another writer had taken a look at it and mentioned something I hadn't thought of. I had a possible threat to the women's lives, and unknowingly foreshadowed the ending of the story. I am surprised that nobody has commented on this. ![]() ![]() "Dream Team Guest Room" ![]() Dreams are true while they last, and do we not live in dreams? ~~Alfred Lord Tennyson~ Featured Item: "Dreamer's Sanctuary" ![]() |
