Hmmm... Who is the moose?

I'm a middle-aged, grumpy, old-fart who's constantly yelling at people to get off his lawn. ... Nah, I am older but mentally I am still pretty youthful.

I read almost anything at least once. There are a few genres I don't dip into much but the ones I do read I can immerse myself in for long stretches at a time. Most of those are sci-fi and fantasy but they have to have a twist from the traditional. I am so tired of the same old thing all the time. I also read romancy type stuff, especially the more steamy things but those also have to have some sort of twist as well. On my list are writings like those of Brandon Sanderson, Neil Gaiman, H.P. Lovecraft, Stephen King, Anne Rice, Megan Hart, Janine Ashbless, J.K. Rowling and Robert Jordan. Oh, and a little horror if you didn't spot Lovecraft, Rice and King in there.

I don't have anything of my own published. I've not really tried either. Up until this year writing has just been something I fiddle around with. So, now I dive into the deep end with NaNo. Crazy, huh?

If you take a look at my port you will also find that poetry outnumbers prose by a large margin. I love playing with words and poetry is the best way to do that. It's the most compact way to get a string of thoughts out that would normally take volumes of space if done in prose.
