You are required to spend 15 minutes working on each assignment every day, which means you are not permitted to submit previously written work as your completed assignment. So, for example, let's say you already have a character profile on your protagonist - name, age, height, occupation, quirks, hobbies, and so on. When you get tot he character profile, chooose the other option - write a description from the perspective of one of your other characters instead. But you have to spend 15 minutes writing something new that meets the criteria of the assignment The Prep does two things: (1) It helps you develop a novel-length story, and (2) it gets you into the habit of making time every single day to write. You can't accomplish #2 by turning in previously written work, and there's always room for more story development. Hope this helps. Regards, Michelle
