Thanks Doggy, that was wonderfully distracting! I shouldn't need to invest any additional effort to be inflammatory and provocative. One exercise I can skip ![]() I wish I'd seen Twain's masterful comparison of his work with the Bible when my novel was banned from the YA review group on WDC. I could have thrown the Bible back at the Bible bashers. All that decadence and debauchery, sodomy and bestiality, profanity, lewdness and lasciviousness, would clearly have to be rated XXGC on here. For my part, I'm not out to poison minds, young or old, anyway. My story is intended to be ultimately uplifting. The problem is, anything to do with sex is assumed to be toxic by default; as though mere exposure to it in any form can only poison a young mind. The sexuality of pubescent people is part of themselves and their reality; it accounts for many of their hopes and dreams, and their trouble and strife. But we're not allowed to address the issues in front of them, or even mention the word in E rated areas of our own Ports. |
