I have discovered a fantastic trick for blocking out hubbies and kids and TV's, even in the TV spaces: earbuds + Pandora + classical music cranked to the max.

I also discovered another trick. Since my house is too small for an office, I installed a desk in the *closet* of the guest room. I even asked for a comfy rolling leather office chair for my birthday. You would laugh if you saw the setup, because the guest bed takes up nearly the entire room, but I've managed to cram this tiny little office space off the beaten path.

I'll be spending time using both tricks this November. But, if it's any consolation, 1,667 words realistically takes me over an hour, too.
