Felt my background story for my antagonist needed more detail and a key conflict in my novel would lack depth if I didn't do sufficient research. I looked into: women in the workplace, when they started appearing in the office environment and how. female fashion in the workplace in the 70's sexual harrassment (where it originated, what constitutes it, different reasons behind it, how it affects the victim, examples of it in writings, the debate of whether it is more damaging to stay silent or attempt to complain etc) Definitely helped!
