Becoming published is hard to do and discouragement runs abundant, but just keep at the writing. You never know who, what or when you will achieve your dreams. I've been writing for years and within the last 5 years finally actively persued my desire to become published. It didn't happen the first or twentith time I sent in my work. I began to doubt if I was good enough to get that magic letter. Even more frustrating was that the rejection letters I got were all generic even when the sites promised indepth rejection letters that told a person what needed improvement. I wanted those types of letters....

I was about to give up one of the biggest loves of my life, writing. As I think about it, I would have been miserable because writing is not just something I do... It's who I am and helps keep me balanced. I've fought my whole life to find the time to write, made people understand just how important writing is to me. To give up writing because I was unable to break into the most difficult of professions seems just silly now but I know that the frustration is hard to look past.

Write for yourself. Make yourself happy with you work until you cannot make it any better. Write in whatever style suits you and never lose the love of your craft. It doesn't matter what you write as long as you are in love with it. And finishing even the prep for nanowrimo is a huge step. Making the committment to write a novel in a month is a commedable goal. And no matter how far you get with it, just keep scribbling...

It's worth it in the end.
