You make a lot of good points in there. I either know I have a title or I just don't. I took a piece once with the working title 'Title Here' because I had no idea where to go with it.

One of my projects is pet-named 'Duke' with a similar feeling of whimsy because PuppyTales said she gave her projects pet names, and I went on the tangent of actual pets and their names (because we all know how Pup loves her dogs).

I read somewhere that three words in a title is very strong. One of the myths around publishing is not to put a gem in the title: the original title of The Wizard of Oz was The Emerald City. Not sure if that still holds, but David Eddings got by with a whole trilogy beginning with The Diamond Throne.

Don't get too attached, like the writing world article says. I was asked if I was "married" to my novel's title when it was accepted for publication. While it didn't change, it could have and many do.
