These last few days has found me extremely busy. I updated my status last week to keep it up as I knew I would not have internet access till today, Monday the 22. Spent the past week in Maryland with family and using this time researching historical sites relevant to my novel. Spent the weekend in Shenandoah National Park in the backcountry, hence, NO INTERNET!. Back in Kingsville Maryland early this morning visiting historical sites that is in my novel, mainly a covered bridge called Jericho Bridge on Jerusalem Rd, near Kingsville. This bridge is the center point in the novel and dates back to the early 1800's. Nearby Jerusalem Historical Village is also in the Novel as the cemetary there also plays a role in the novel. Reason for this post - I wanted to use this for my Create Your Own bonus assignment for the Day 21 Freebee, but I did not have access on that day. I enjoyed this time doing actuals field research on the novel and gave me a heads up and many writing prompts for future stories as well. If you can, do some research in the actuall setting your novel takes place. It is exciting and very rewarding and to me, gives more life to your novel. Erich.
