Try setting yourself a lower (and more realistic?) target. And then a medium one for once you've reached the lower target. Then a if-I-do-really-well one. A if-I-do-super-well one and hey-I've-done-spectacularly-well-and-make-50k!

I've decided that I must reach 35k. 40-45k will be nice, but not very realistic; I am still aiming for 50k (ha!), but so long as I make my 35k, I'm not going to beat myself up too much.
