Has anyone else pushed past the finish line?
Just wondering if any of my fellow nanoers overcame their distractions and blocks to move beyond the 50,000 mark.

I'm closing in on the 60,000 mark now, and I'm still miles away from finishing. I've wrote myself into the winner's circle, but I won't consider myself a winner until its actually complete.

That aside, without this month, 60,000 words would never have been written. Well, perhaps they would have, but it would have taken me months if not years to move from one novel to the next. It might all be unedited chaos, but it is certainly a lot of progress I've made. Regardless if you've managed to keep up with the word count or not, progress is progress.

Whether it be 1 word or 50,000 it's still more words than you had, and I look back and I find myself thankful that I took part in this event. I don't know if it made me a better author, but it taught me a lot about my characters, and I'd like to thank Valimaar and Elaine for choosing me to write their story. I doubt that I'll ever be the same person as I was over 2 years ago when I joined this site and started the endeavor of The Ninth Son. I have all of you to thank for the encouragement. You've pushed me past the disheartening moments, and the inane babble of an inexperienced writer to someone who finally understands the soul of the story.

Thank you all for your help and motivation. YOU'RE AWESOME!
