This whole month was so intense! I've never written anything longer than 3,000 words until now. I hit the 50,000 with less than a day to spare. And I'm really proud of myself as I am now almost 8 and a half months pregnant and I don't have a comfortable chair to work in. Haha. Half of my work each day was motivating myself to sit in the chair and type. There were days that I just pulled out my composition book and hand wrote. In fact there was a whole week that I did that, and then just transcribed it all in bits and pieces, extending and editing as I went. Overall, this was an awesome experience. Doing all the assignments here and then putting all that work into something so large makes me feel really accomplished. And I am looking forward to expanding my novel and rewriting and reworking it until it says what it means, if that makes any sense. I'm so happy for everyone else that took part. Even if you didn't' reach the 50,000 you still have words that weren't there a month ago. It's just awesome. I posted my Nano name on here a while back but it wasn't put on the score sheet. It's the same as my name here. Wickedtardis. I'm not sure if I qualify for the Nano badge though, since I was only a runner-up in the prep. It's all good either way. Hope to be back next year! |
