Anxiously waiting for October NaNo Prep! I used WritingFix.com's "Serendipitous Plots & Conflicts" generator to come up with an idea for my story. It gives you three buttons: one for setting, one for character, and one for conflict. The ones I like best for my NaNo is "a city across the sea, a soldier, your character has amnesia" or "a ship's deck on the ocean, an explorer, strange voices are telling your character to do something" or "a tiny little town, an artist, a fire has been started." I need a male character, though. I have several good female names, my favorite being Ashlee Katina Carter. Here's the link to the prompt I used if anybody else wants to check it out. http://writingfix.com/right_brain/Serendipitous_Plots1.htm They have plot helps, character helps, title prompts, sentence prompts, etc. Be cool and keep writing! ~ Mary, Duchess Laughing Lemurs "And by the way, everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt." ~ Sylvia Plath ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** |
