Thanks for your help! This is definitely a male/female romance, but I never really even thought about the fact that LGTB literature would quite often have a male POV character! I should have, of course, but I so rarely read romances that it didn't even occur to me. I'm not sure if this story would even go through a more "romance-leaning" publisher, because of the magic realism elements (I imagine it'd go into the fantasy/sci-fi section or even just the Literature-at-Large section at a store...) and how important they are to the plot. I mean, there are faerie curses and ancient magic men involved, so... Also, and this is a lot more important than perhaps I have let on, the whole romance in a story-within-a-story. It's the BIGGEST part of the novel, but essentially the whole romance is being relayed to Tennyson by my AMM (ancient magic man) as Tennyson is looking for inspiration for his rewrite of "The Lady of Shallot". So there's a lot of set-up there that might take me out of the whole romance publisher market at all. I really must stop writing multi-genre stories that'll be impossible to market. It's getting to the point that I really just want to write a spy thriller. But then, I want to write a spy thriller involving magic and gods. Or a PI story involving Loki as the PI... *sigh* I think my market might be a bit niche. -Quaddy Check this Out!
