I'm sure someday you'll be ready to find the conflict centered within the boy finding the dragon egg. Maybe you're just not ready for that one yet.


OR - he could think he wasn't good enough for that egg, someone could try to keep him from bonding with that egg, or the egg could have been promised to someone else. There has to be conflict somewhere.
