Here in Columbus, Ohio "Go Blue" means something different and... vile, LOL. Bit of a local joke. Columbus is home to The Ohio State University Buckeyes (red and grey, 2002 Champions, rah, rah), and since we have no pro football teams (the closest pro teams are the Cincinnati Bengals and the Cleveland Browns... I mean, seriously... don't you feel sorry for us?) we cheer on the local college team. The biggest Buckeyes rival is University of Michigan Wolverines, whose colors are maize and blue. So when someone around here shouts "Go Blue!" it's taken as an insult!! My next door neighbors had an awesome banner they hung outside their house that said "Divided House" with both logos, because the wife went to OSU and the husband went to Michigan. This is very important stuff. *nod* Regards, Michelle |
