I imagine it would depend on how much time you have on your hands. I have been thinking the same thing though. I started out with a very simple idea. As I added settings and conflict ideas and characters it escalated into something that I really hadn't planned on. I blame it on the characters. They aren't doing what I wanted.

Really I was wondering if I should try to change to something else.
