Young Adult Urban Romance

My Premise: A bright high school sophomore runs away after her parent’s messy divorce. She falls in love with a gang member that she tries to help break free of the gang lifestyle, while another boy tries to force her affection and the gang tries to keep them apart.

OK. So here it goes. I'm writing a couple of party scenes. One with the protagonist and her best friend hanging out at a party and another with the protagonist hanging out with her friends and the hero. Does anybody have any ideas on what they could be doing at the party or what they could be talking about?
