Roseille, I think Dawn Embers was the first person I saw doing the noveling playlist thing (Dawn, am I right?) The Oct. 31 assignment in the "October Nano Prep: 2014 Calendar"  has a "Workspace Preparation" choice which suggests creating a playlist. So if you do this now, give yourself credit for it.

The Workspace Preparation came from a series of assignments in the third or fourth year of Prep in which bonuses included a "Create-Your-Own" assignment. Other assignments we liked and added from partipants' create-your-own assignments included research and world building. I personally think the music playlist is a genius idea, and I particularly love the idea of giving your main character a theme song.
