My entire novel is based on a completely fabricated set of mythologies. I started right at the top with the creation of the universe and each planet and the powers that were left behind and the Gods and the things that went wrong. Half of it might not make it into the book, but I have it all written down in a sub guide so I don’t forget it. Forget world-building, go for universe-building!
