Re: Mythology/Religion in your Novel
This is an important part of a character's world view, and often overlooked. I usually at least decide the religous/philosophical concepts of the society and the characters in my notes. It often doesn't get into my writing, but it shades the actions of the characters because that's what precepts do in RL.
I've also written stories where the characters were divine or spirit in some fashion. Only one of these so far has made it to (unpaid, amateur, and I believe no longer in print) print.
