That's likely why you're having problems. IE in notorious buggy, and depending on which version you're using, may not even be supported anymore. Google Docs is likely the most compatible with Chrome, since it's made by Google, but you may also have luck with Firefox. If you can try a different browser, please let me know if that clears up the problem.
