I also struggle with outlines. I love reading books that jump around in time, or from one character's POV to another, because often I get wrapped up in the intensity of the story through those techniques. But I'm not so good at writing that way. My brain tends to be very linear and I can only write a story that way. This year, I have some flashbacks in my outline, but I'm not quite feeling the chronological timeline. I guess where I struggle most is HOW to add the timeline to my outline. Right now, I have a color-coded system with events listed under months and flashbacks in another color, but I would love to feel like it was more organized. *Rolleyes*
